Sanibel Island Trails: Rules of the Road
Please stick to these rules to help ensure a more
safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.
-
Bikes are not allowed on the beach.
-
If you're under age 16, state law requires you to wear a helmet. If
you're over 16, it's still a very good idea.
-
When approaching walkers or runners from behind, make sure they know you're
coming. Announce your presence by ringing a bell or saying "on your
left". Pass on the left.
-
If riding on the street, observe all traffic signs and laws as if you were
driving a car.
-
Leave the wildlife alone. Do not feed alligators, this makes them more
dangerous to humans.
Please let us know if we missed anything!
