Sanibel Island Trail Sections
We've provided descriptions of the different sections
of trail, to help you choose where you might want to ride. Maybe you prefer the
commercial shopping haven of Periwinkle, or the natural splendor of Ding
Darling Wildlife Refuge, or maybe something in between. Click any listing
below for mileage measurements and full descriptions. Roads are listed
roughly in east-to-west order, or alphabetically at the left side of the page.
Visit the above links for some very precise measurements of the
various sections of bike paths, to help you figure out the distance from point
A to point B. An average rider covers a mile in about 5 or 6 minutes,
give or take a few minutes depending on whether your pushing hard or moving at
a leisurely pace, and whether you have to stop for street crossings.
